LA CUCCUMA WEEK & KIMBO

La Cuccuma, l’ancienne cafetière napolitaine en cuivre avec laquelle on préparait le café à Naples mais aussi dans toute l’Italie au XIXème siècle. Symbole d’une culture et de l’évènement qui s’est tenu à Naples du 24 au 30 novembre: la première Cuccuma Week, semaine visant à redécouvrir le plaisir du café filtré et célébrer l’ancienne cafetière napolitaine. A la cafétéria de la Place des Martyres – Ambassade du Café Kimbo, nous avons pu admirer tout au long de la semaine une exposition d’affiches publicitaires d’époque et participer aux rendez-vous littéraires, théâtraux, cinématographiques et surtout gastronomiques.
Parmi les rendez-vous programmés ont eu lieu différents Coffee Hour et Cuccuma Show, ainsi que la venue d’hôtes d’excellence. Parmi tant d’autres, Akinari « Pasquale » Makishima, le pizzaiolo japonais qui a gagné le titre de champion du monde, qui a retiré auprès de l’Ambassade du Café 150 cafetières Cuccume à l’effigie de la marque Kimbo pour sa pizzeria de Osaka.
Le clou de la manifestation a eu lieu Dimanche 30 novembre quand tous les détenteurs d’une cuccuma typique ont pu exposer leur exemplaire sur les tables de l’Ambassade pour la soumettre à un jury présidé par l’architecte Riccardo Dalisi qui a développé justement autour de la Cuccuma des projets de design primés par le compas d’or. Cette manifestation a été conçue afin de partager l’histoire et la passion pour le café napolitain, de la musique au cinéma, de l’architecture aux affiches publicitaires. Un monde où le café n’est pas seulement un produit mais un plaisir partagé et l’acteur d’une culture d’arômes et de saveurs appréciée dans le monde entier.

TASTE AWARD OF THE FOREIGN PRESS IN ITALY: KIMBO AS OFFICIAL PARTNER

Kimbo, the symbol of the Neapolitan espresso was the official coffee of the 2014 Group of Taste Award of the Foreign Press in Italy, which in 2014 took place at an exclusive gala dinner on November 25, at the Eataly congress centre in Rome.

Symbol of the Neapolitan espresso, Kimbo has thus become the partner of an event which, since 2004, illustrates the value and the authenticity of the products of the “Made in Italy” cuisine through the words of the foreign press in Italy. In the context of an exclusive showcase which intends to promote the excellence of the Italian tradition at an international level, Kimbo thus interprets the particularity of the espresso, the uniqueness of its taste and the authenticity of its history: elements which permitted the company to establish itself as second player in Italy in the retail sector in the course of more than 50 years of business.

During the evening, the Neapolitan company delighted the palate of its guests by presenting its unmistakable blends interpreted in the compositions of “Kimbo Coffee Specialist” Carmine Castellano, cappuccino world champion who invented 42 different ways to interpret coffee.

Ranging from the authentic Italian espresso to an appetising and tasty coffee cream, Kimbo promises to offer a late evening of pure pleasure under the auspices of relaxation and delicacy.

KIMBO IS BARITALIA‘S OFFICIAL SPONSOR

On occasion of the 1st BarItalia, a travelling research laboratory dedicated to blending and food, Kimbo will be the main sponsor and endorser. The event takes place at four events during which the partner companies will field with their own team of professionals to debate the topic proposed by the event organiser. The 1st fixture’s topic, “Innovating. Feeding the business.” will be an occasion to revisit the ideas of the Expo 2015, such as innovation in the field of food &beverage, and the capacity of the professionals in the sector to develop proposals which may attract a wider audience.

During 2014 the first two events took place in Milan, in Lambretto and in Padua at Tecno&food.

Kimbo will attend with a fixed location inside the Bar of BarItalia, which is intended to be used as a coffee tasting area.

Kimbo, symbol of the Neapolitan espresso for over 50 years, will be the official coffee of the Naples Tennis Club, a historic meeting place for generations of players and fans from 1905 to today.

The Naples Tennis Club, which has hosted national and international competitions, artists and champions from all over the world chooses to offer its guests a unique and equally historic coffee: His Majesty the Kimbo Espresso, the excellence of coffee.

The atmosphere of the charming rooms and of the historic tennis courts will acquire intensity and warmth from the energy of Kimbo coffee .
Kimbo will indeed delight all the palates of the tennis fans with its coffee celebrating traditional Kimbo Coffee Hour, a coffee time appreciated as a daily and shared pleasure.

This important partnership reflects one of the values in which the company has always believed in: coffee as a moment of pleasure and sociability to enjoy and share with others in this case dedicated to a single strong passion, tennis.
